The first set of familiar villain bosses that appear include Shocker and the Sandman. Obviously Spider-man's big foe in this sequel is Electro, who appears in the first cut-scenes of the game, and whose network of henchmen and other powerful arch-villains is bigger than one might first believe. Now, we have Spider-man 2, Enter Electro, a sequel to the first game that adds to the series, and continues the same kind of adventures. That was before the introduction of the PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Xbox, and before millions of polygons on screen in a single game trained out eyes on a daily basis to become accustomed to such a thing. The combination of Spidey's personality, actions, and his allies and enemies being perfectly re-created in a videogame was so long-awaited, and presented with such flair, that the first game was unheralded.

When Spider-man first appeared in PlayStation almost two years ago, the game was a milestone in layering complex camera angles in a robust 3D engine, while for the first time in any videogame on any system, accurately representing a super-hero unfiltered and pure from his comic book origin.
